Good morning from NC, with an up date on my Fuel Legacy adventure.  This is the best day of my Life! 

Every day Linda and I drive up to our new log home in Nebo, from Marion, NC. The trip is a 21 mile drive one way to our new home.  Throughout the week we drive to the not so nearby banks etc…which is about a 70 mile round trip.  I filled up after going 346 miles and put in 21.5 gallons of regular unleaded.  By using regular vs premium I saved $6.23 for that tank which is a $0.29. savings alone. If I add the efficiency improvement of $0.40 or 20% we reduced our fuel cost by $0.69 per gallon.  The savings was $14.92 for that tank.  I love eeFuel!  I also read that using less eeFuel say 7ml vs the recommended 8ml may even improve gas engines efficiency even further.  Sometimes it takes a while to find the “Sweet Spot.”

I also started burning it in my Diesel so I don’t have much to report other than it is running much stronger.  It usually takes a little longer to build up the Catalytic Nano-Layer on the cylinder walls of diesels. I should be able to report back on my truck in a couple weeks. Part of my first tank I drove up to mt Mitchell which is at the 6600 foot elevation.  This trip has many switch backs so I’m looking forward to seeing how that affects my mileage on the first tank.

I received this HAPPY message from my HAPPY friend Sandy Campbell.  It is especially meaningful to me because 8 has always been my lucky number, it is the sign for infinity (turn it sideways) and it is the date of my birth (January).

Pass it on and let’s spread some HAPPY-ness…

August is now upon us.  It is the 8th month of the year.  In one week we will experience the day of 08-08-08.  In Chinese culture, 8 is the symbol of abundance (no coincidence that they will open the Olympics in Beijing on 08-08-08). 

Not only that, but today, August 1st is the New Moon.  They say a New Moon is a great time to start new projects, or make new resolutions.  The universe is ready to help you create anew at this time. 

So I intend for August to be a month of Abundance for me.  I will create incredible abundance and Happyness starting today.   I intend to stay Happy every day for the next 29 days.  I will wake up Happy.  I will be Happy throughout my day.  I will go to bed Happy.  And I am going to avoid every possible source of non-Happy that I can.

So for 29 days I will likely have to do without reading the newspaper or watching the news shows.  No scary movies.  No watching the McCain-Obama drama.  No fretting over my weight or the weather or my tomato plants that got eaten by caterpillars.  And if you send me any scary or unhappy emails, no offense, but I’ll be deleting them!   

For 29 days I will surround myself with Happy books, Happy people, Happy activities, Happy movies.  And I intend to attract extraordinary Happyness and abundance into my life over the next month (and beyond…).

I have a month of Happy planned:

I started out by going to see the movie, “Mamma Mia” tonight.  And I smiled and laughed through the whole thing!  Highly recommended for a dose of Happy.

I joined Toastmasters recently, and next Tuesday I will be giving my first speech (my “Icebreaker”).  Maybe I’ll be a little nervous – but Happy!

I have a week of vacation planned in the middle of the month with three days of camping and a day of tubing down the James River – a very Happy activity!

And I close out the month having my niece and nephews visit for a couple of days where we’ll be swimming, fishing, hiking, taking in a Durham Bulls baseball game, and just being Happy kids.  I can’t wait.

I invite each of you to join me.  Regardless of when you are reading this email, dedicate the month of August to creating good things in your life by:

1.       Choosing to think Happy thoughts.

2.       Doing Happy activities.

3.       Being grateful for the Happy that is already in your life.

4.       Surrounding yourself with Happy people.

Happy thoughts create Happy feelings.  The more you feel Happy, the more Happy experiences and situations you will attract into your life.  And the better you will be able to create the circumstances that you desire.

You can write and tell me you’re joining me, or not.  It doesn’t matter.  But either way, I will be sending Happy thoughts your way!

Ten years ago I met Dennis online and within 6 months I had moved from North Carolina to Michigan to marry him.  We always said we would eventually move back to North Carolina and we trusted God and the Universe to line it up for us.

We moved from Michigan to North Carolina in July 2008 and we are having the greatest time settling into our new temporary home – our RV at a small private campground right beside the river – while we wait for our new custom log home to be built here in the North Carolina mountains.

The river is wide and shallow and we can walk in it.  Tubers float down the river effortlessly like it is their own private "lazy river" like you see at hotels.

Cranes and blue herrins stand in the water with their long legs and catch the fish as they swim by.  Many varieties of birds entertain us throughout the day and serenade us in the mornings as the cows and horses provide an example of being in the "now" in the field on the other side of the river.

At the river we find tadpoles and mussels and minnows and tiny little snails in black spiral shaped shells attached to the rocks.  There are  MILLIONS of tiny little toads or frogs – only one half inch long.  They are jumping everywhere!

Our camping neighbors are all semi-permanent and so friendly and helpful and we feel very safe here.

We have created a new website at Shutterfly for the purpose of sharing pictures to show our new land and the progress of the new house as well as where we are living now by the river.

Our log home is scheduled to be completed around the end of this year and I know it will be completed in perfect timing.  I keep suggesting Christmas to the builder, so we’ll see!

I am grateful for every moment of every day as we settle into our new relaxing lifestyle here by the river and anticipate the completion of our new log home – and I am really grateful for the home businesses that allow us to live our dream!
